I love performing - covers and originals. I love ‘em both. I play a lot of songs that I grew up with and I also like learning new stuff. I don’t just love writing songs, it's actually therapy for me - the sad songs, the funny songs, it's all stuff that's in me and I love creating words and music.

I love making recordings - but it costs a lot. When I perform, I get paid for it (thankfully) but when I record, I pay for it. As you probably know, when aare n independent artist releases music on streaming platforms, the expenses involved in doing that far antoutweigh the revenue.

So I decided to explore an idea… some people like my writing and they like some of my recordings and I recently had a few people tell me that they wanted to support that. I find myself typically putting more focus on getting gigs that pay rather than putting energy into writing and recording because of this very fact - performing covers generates income while recording and releasing my songs is an expense and I have to eat :)
