“Classic Americana and great originals!”
Rusty Jackson has a story... it started when he was nine years old when he saw a movie about the life and music of Hank Williams. At that young age, Rusty knew that he wanted to be a singer songwriter, like Hank. As he discovered others, like Johnny Cash, James Taylor, Kris Kristofferson and Merle Haggard, his desire to communicate with songs grew and grew.
As a teenager, Rusty pursued that dream of being a singer songwriter but was soon discouraged and confused about the "music business" and when he got married at the age of 21, he decided that it was time to get a "real" job and settle down. A few decades later, with the kids all grown and out of the house, Rusty decided to revisit that childhood dream. Tragically, about that same time, Rusty's wife was diagnosed with cancer and in 2017, she passed away. When that happened, Rusty decided to just "double down" and really go for it! He figured that was the best way to deal with the grief. He started performing every chance he had and he started writing and recording new songs.
In the last 2 years, Rusty has played hundreds of shows in the Northwest and across the country. He has written and recorded two full albums and is currently planning a trip to Nashville in October where he will be doing some co-writing with a hit songwriter.
The title cut on Rusty's first album was "Never too Late" and he is living that "mantra" by chasing that dream that he had when he was nine years old and letting everyone know that it truly is never too late!
